What does 'sosuisen' mean?

A canal is called 'sosui (疏水)' in Japanese, and a line is called 'sen (線)'.
I love the Lake Biwa Canal in Kyoto and the line of water flowing through it. That's why 'sosuisen' is my favorite view.
